prior (noun) : Jargony term related to Bayesian probability theory, in which the prior refers to the probability distribution assumed about something before any data is collected. The slang usage extends this notion to normal beliefs held in the absence of data; a priori.
He had a high prior that she wouldn't like him. Or: her priors made her see discrimination even if it wasn't there.
