placentalism (adjective) : Refers to men who are treated like children by their parents long after puberty, therefore never maturing emotionally and always needing to depend on a parental type figure (usually a Mother) for emotional and financial guidance. Having placentalism does not make them a supportive and dependable spouse or an acceptable candidate for fatherhood.
Men suffering from placentalism are usually lacking financially and are sometimes susceptible to drug use or alcohol abuse. Becoming a father when one has placentalism usually leads to children following their father’s example and falling into placentalism themselves or worse if no one is there to step-in and intervene on their behalf.
