grimbles (noun) : 1. The small particles, real or imagined, a person collects on the soles of their bare feet (especially after walking across a floor when coming from a bath or shower) which are brushed off with the hand before putting on one's socks. 2. Scientific data analysis: background readings ("noise") that appear as a random cluster of dots.
1. My feet are uncomfortable. I should have brushed the grimbles off the soles of my feet before putting on my socks. 2. In data analysis: If we adjust the parameters, these grimbles will disappear.
