gladiator bug (noun) : The gladiator bug belongs to the order Mantophasmatodea. The order, believed to be extinct, was known from specimens trapped in amber, as much as 45 million years ago. But alas! We recently have found them alive and well, living on the Australian Green Islands.
I heard that the gladiator bug is like a walking stick bug or a grasshopper, but it does not jump and it is a nocturnal carnivore.

I really wanted my reference to gladmouth me to my prospective employer, but it turned out their comments sunk me.
