Ciaoissimo (interjection) : [chow-EE-see-mo] Superlative (and bastardized) form of Italian "Ciao” used in greeting or parting. In greeting, usu. indicates extreme pleasure. May be used casually among friends in parting or as an emphatic more permanent form of dismissal.
1) After a late-night bender with his pals, bleary-eyed Marcello threw back the last of his sambuca and called out "Ciaoissimo, y’all" as he stumbled from the bar. 2) After beating up her girlfriend's secret lover, Antonia left the unconscious Marcello in the gutter with a sotto voce, “Ciaoissimo”.
