internet surfing (verb) : To use the world wide web, the internet, in order to go to different places of interest that you can access simply by knowing the website address of by using a search engine to find what you think that you should be looking for.

I think that internet surfing is fun since you get to find more interesting things since you can find thousands of places that are about the same thing and that being good since you will be able to find more of what you would want to know if you look hard enough and have a need to know.

internetting (verb) : The act of using the internet. Specifically in the plural sense where one is visiting numerous sites to do a variety of functions and/or view multiple web pages simultaneously or one after another. This is to replace the tired, multi-worded phrase, "surfing the internet."

Instead of working today at work, I sat at my computer and did a lot of internetting.
